Architectural Frameworks
Efficient and effective.
Frameworks are used by enterprise architects to encourage the use of a consistent structure for architectural descriptions. Because an enterprise architecture is a multi-dimensional representation of a large and complex entity, a variety of multi-dimensional structures are possible, differing in the number and nature of the dimensions. Each representation of an enterprise architecture is referred to as a “framework.”
Widely used enterprise architecture frameworks include the DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF), the Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA) framework and the Zachman framework. Metastorm provides support for all of these frameworks by accommodating each framework's notation conventions and model types within the Metastorm ProVision® for Federal solution. We also provide training and consulting services targeted at the effective development of enterprise architecture work products for each of the popular EA frameworks.
